In the 12th edition of the International Coffee Tasting, the blend “Anniversario” of La Genovese roasting company was awarded with the Gold Medal in the Italian Espresso Blends Category for the 4th time in eight years.

The blend “Anniversario” of the Ligurian roasting company, one of the leading products for Italian Espresso, has obtained for the 4th time the coveted recognition attributed by a jury of experts selected by the International Institute of Coffee Tasters (Iiac).

Receiving again the Gold Medal for the blend “Anniversario”, after those of 2012, 2016 and 2018, is a confirmation of our work” said Alessandro Borea CEO of La Genovese.

It means that we always manage to keep the quality of our blends high over time and that our product is always constant. With coffee it is not easy, it’s still a natural product subject to natural variations based on the harvesting seasons.
The International Coffee Tasting has been awarding at least one Gold medal to one of our coffees since 2008, and for us this is a great certificate of excellence for our blends.

We know we are good, but we keep trying to improve ourselves. And when the judgment comes from a panel of expert and independent tasters, it is obvious that it makes us even more proud. This award shows that focusing on quality is always a winner and gives us the desire to keep improving.”

This recognition rewards not only the taste and fine aromas of this blend of La Genovese, but also the quality and passion, which has always distinguished the Albenga roasting company and which over the years has led it to be recognized and appreciated all over the world.

The award-winning blend
The blend “Anniversario”, distributed in 3 kg metal Boxes, is obtained from a rigorous selection of the best Arabica in the world. Result of a skillful roasting and constant control at every stage of production. The delicate aroma and velvety body, a very fine acidity combined with a fruity and spicy vein, hints of chocolate, exotic fruit and tropical flowers, are the basis of this unique symphony of aromas. 100% Arabica made from natural Brazilians, semi-washed Brazilians, washed Arabica from Central America and Africa.
