La Genovese at Host Milan, an essential emotion

Home / News / La Genovese at Host Milan, an essential emotion

From the classic Italian Espresso to the new extraction methods.

There is still little time left to Host Milan, which will take place from 18rd to 22th October, where the best world producers and the most qualified professionals in the sector will meet.
The large stand of La Genovese will feature the “Brew Bar & Espresso Bar” format, designed to welcome visitors and make them feel part of a large community: the one of good coffee lovers.
An area of the stand will be entirely dedicated to the Italian Espresso blends that gather all the know-how and expertise that this historic Ligurian roasting company has matured over the years. It is since 1936 that La Genovese roasts with love and competence the best beans of the world, selected with care and attention, and combined to offer its customers, in every cup, a unique and engaging sensory experience.
Passion for coffee and research of precious origins have always guided the selection of blends bringing to the recognition of “Qualified Blend for Certified Italian Espresso” for three of them: the Anniversary, the Royal and the Qualità Oro blend.
It is no coincidence that the blends for Italian Espresso from the roasting company have been awarded several times by the International Coffee Tasting. Also in the last edition they were awarded with the Gold Medal: the Anniversary blend and the Juta Bio UTZ blend.

Great attention to sustainability.

And the Juta Bio UTZ blend will have a prominent place inside the stand, as proof of Ligurian roasting’s willingness to commit itself increasingly to the path of environmental sustainability and responsible agricultural production.
The result of over a year of work, made of research, selection, tests, Juta is a wise selection and combination of the best origins, 100% Arabica from organic farming and a supply chain that respects the farmers, workers and their families by helping them to satisfy their ambitions and contribute to safeguarding the world’s resources. The result is a “good” coffee, awarded by the ICT (International Coffee Tasting), sweet and elegant, with a velvety cream and persistent aromas, with scents of flowers and fresh fruit giving way to vanilla and jasmine.

Specialty Area.

In a large corner, dedicated to different coffee extraction methods, it will be possible to taste the vast selection of Borea Specialty Coffees. In particular, the three new specialties will be presented for the first time: Honduras Panchito Honey, Honduras Neo Portillo Parainema Natural, Honduras Finca El Egido Washed. Three single origins chosen and selected directly in Honduras by Alessandro Borea.
Certainly ours is a passion,” says Alessandro Borea, CEO of the company “we don’t just select coffee from all over the world, but we study and travel to visit other countries with a different coffee culture. This expertise has allowed us to impose ourselves outside Italy, on the foreign market, which now represents more than 50% of our turnover. Our commitment is essential to offer a good coffee” continues Borea” but it cannot be enough if it is not combined with investments in training people and spreading the culture of coffee and Italian Espresso. Thanks to this commitment, La Genovese Academy was born today, because we believe that the continuous improvement of all the people involved in the coffee world is indispensable if we want to keep up with the times and be able to excel”.

Hospitality and sociability.

At Host Milano La Genovese presents an open, usable space that will host events dedicated to the discovery of coffee. The stand wants to be a place within the fair, where you can meet, exchange opinions, share the excitement of savoring a cup of coffee together, re-discovering the ability of everyone to feel and recognize the aromas captured by a cup of good coffee.
Emotions that visitors can experience during all five days of Host Milano 2019, thanks to continuous and personalized sessions of coffee experience, an emotional tasting corner dedicated to research and quality prepared with the help of the IIAC (International Institute of Coffee Tasters) and conducted by the coffee specialist of La Genovese Academy.
For the visitor, it will be like entering his own bar, meeting up with friends who will let him taste the best product, and, if he wants, “be part of it” by entering with his picture in the Coffee Wall La Genovese.

The presence of La Genovese at Host Milano 2019 will be the characterization of the coffee concept as imagined by La Genovese, made of conviviality, social and environmental awareness, created by people for people. Coffee as a moment of encounter between cultures and people.
