HostMilano, the international fair dedicated to catering and hospitality, returns from 22 to 26 October 2021; La Genovese Caffè will be present at Hall 15 Stand L50 with its novelties in the name of environmental and social sustainability.

A space where you can meet again, exchange opinions, enjoying a cup of coffee together again. This will be La Genovese stand at HostMilano 2021.

“Deciding to participate in Host 2021 was not easy. We began to reflect on our participation almost a year ago, when the health situation was clearly deteriorating. At that moment, it was not an easy choice to make, but in the end with a little courage we decided to be there. Over the years, HostMilano has become an inevitable appointment for us, the place where we can meet our international customers and where we can better understand how our sector is transforming. Not least our choice was influenced by knowing that among the keywords chosen by the HostMilano organizers there were innovation and sustainability: at that point we could not fail to be there”.

This is how Alessandro Borea, CEO of La Genovese tells the path that led him to decide to participate in the 42nd edition of HostMilano.

The two areas of the new La Genovese stand are entirely dedicated to the company’s commitment to meeting the objectives of Agenda 2030. One dedicated to the Espresso Bar, where visitors can taste the bar blends; the other entirely dedicated to Coffee Home, where coffee lovers will be able to taste the new fully compostable capsules, the compostable pods or the new selections of the Borea Specialty Coffee and the Moka Style, the prestigious collection of coffees selected from the best Arabica in the world roasted specifically for moka.

Quality and sustainability will be the leitmotifs that will mark the presence of La Genovese.

“A convinced choice of passion and research towards sustainability has led us to enrich the coffee line with products from organic farming and made with respect for people and the planet. Being able to expand the offer with sustainable products has become our ambition. For example, the Rainforest Alliance certification, in addition to protecting the environment, offers better opportunities for farmers and their families. It allows farmers to learn better farming methods, improve working conditions and take care of their children and the environment. We believe – continues Alessandro Borea – that the quality of our coffee should no longer be recognized only by the aroma and taste, but also by the care we take to make it increasingly fair and sustainable. This is why we choose compostable or recyclable packs, pods and capsules, and enrich our selection of coffees from those from sustainable and organic agriculture.”

La Genovese’s commitment to embarking on a path towards sustainability, which began more than ten years ago, continues step by step. After bringing to the bars the Juta Bio blend, certified Rainforest Alliance and gold medal at the International Coffee Tasting, it enriched his proposal with organic Moka Style single-origin coffees: Honduras SHG Finca Santa Teresa, Peru Sant’Ignazio Premium and a Mexico Altura decaffeinated with water.
The Borea Specialty Coffee line offers coffees that are more attentive to sustainability and farmers’ rights. In particular, Burundi and Rwanda coffees see women’s emancipation as a cornerstone of their production.
Greater sustainability also for the supports: compostable pods and capsules, recyclable packs, paper cups and wooden spoons.
